Tony Bonjorno, Bio

Tony Bonjorno grew up and started his musical education in New England where he took up the violin at the age of 7 and started to study voice at age 11. At 15, he took his first professional gig, playing violin in the pit orchestra for a production of Annie Get Your Gun. He moved to Seattle and received his degree from the University of Washington in 1995. During his degree program, he started to teach violin. In 1998 he added “vocal coach” to his title.

Since moving to Seattle, Tony has sung and played with a number of bands including Margin of Error, Jerko Dokko, No Soap Rodeo, and most recently, 6-6-9. He shows his music ability through his strong vocals, innovative songwriting and haunting violin melodies. With multiple recording and performing credits, Tony offers a great depth of real-world knowledge to his students.

A natural educator, Tony tailors a program for each of his students based on individual goals, musical taste and technical proficiency. As a professional performer and recording artist, Tony strongly believes in the importance of performance to a musician’s growth. Thus, he offers a variety of performance opportunities from recitals to nightclub showcases. With programs designed for each individual, Tony appeals to a broad range of students from age 8 to 88.
